“Abide” was written by Caitlin Brutger and Mike Opitz. Caitlin wrote a poem for a university writing class and we adapted it. Caitlin’s lovely lines evoking “blues in the night” speak to the origins of all music. The thought process of the song links this idea to Emily Dickinson (764 “My life had stood, a loaded gun”). This version was recorded in December, 2024.
